Product overview

Our FDB pair is the heavy end of the dial family: both versions top out at 55 lb per hand, 110 lb for the pair, which covers bench presses, heavy rows and walking lunges for most home lifters. The 10-setting dial moves through 9, 15, 20, 26, 29, 35, 40, 44, 48 and 55 lb; the 5-setting dial keeps it simple with 15, 25, 35, 45 and 55 lb.

Lock-on-lift safety

Lock-on-lift safety

The dual-lock system frees plates only in the cradle and clamps them the moment you pick up.

Twist dial, 110 lb total

Why we built the FDB Quick-Change 55 lb Pair

A single-hand twist changes the load in about a second. Weights release only while the dumbbell sits in its base and lock automatically when you lift, so plates cannot slide off during an overhead press. The 33 mm textured rubber handle stays secure with sweaty hands and leaves room for a full grip on compound lifts.

What lifters say about the FDB Quick-Change 55 lb Pair

FDB Quick-Change 55 lb Pair

Just love love love these weights. I went back and fourth on going with a name brand or a lower cost alternative. I have had zero issues with sticking, adjusting, and they are a great size for storage. I like then design isn’t round so it doesn’t slide away from me during my workouts.

FDB Quick-Change 55 lb Pair

enjoy using these wieghts. A bit bulky but a great deal in my opinion. 2-50 lb weights can cost 50 bucks a piece. This gives you a whole set for 300 bucks.

Great Value, Solid Build, and a Real Space Saver

I’ve been very happy with this adjustable dumbbell set. The weight changes are quick and easy, the handles have a comfortable grip, and it saves a ton of space compared to having multiple dumbbells. The best part? No more tripping over a pile of weights in the corner. My workout area is finally organized, and my toes are grateful too. Great value for a home gym!

Questions about the FDB Quick-Change 55 lb Pair

Which FDB version should I pick?

If you like small jumps for shoulder and arm work, take the 10-setting dial. If you mostly train big lifts, the 5-setting version keeps the dial simple.

Is 55 lb per hand enough?

For most home programs it is: dumbbell bench, rows, Romanian deadlifts and split squats rarely need more until you are well past the intermediate stage.
